Yohimbe is an African tree bark and a powerful sexual stimulant for men, with equally powerful side effects. In about 40 percent of cases, it produces partial or full erections. Unlike most herbs that are extracted for pharmaceuticals, yohimbe is safer in prescription form and has FDA approval.

Caution: Side effects from raw yohimbe include: anxiety, elevated blood pressure, dizziness, hallucinations, headache, increased heart rate, panic attacks, and skin flushing.

Do not use yohimbe if you have kidney disease or psychological disorders. (Editor's note: yohimbe can potentiate MAO inhibitors and hypertensive drugs. Do not ingest while pregnant.)
